If you are looking for a lower cost safari on a smaller budget, accommodation can be provided in 3 star and 4 star lodges and camps and drive between them, which keeps the cost down. This doesn’t mean that the quality is any worse, far from it, but they may have less facilities and or be further away from the prime game viewing areas.
So if you see an example itinerary you like, but you think it’s out of your price range, request a quote for a budget version. Remember, you can always drop off a night or two and or miss out a step in the tour itinerary to keep the cost down; just ask.
The Volcanoes National Park, which is the home to several groups of Gorillas, is the most popular wildlife area in Rwanda. But don’t miss out on Kigali.
Bwindi is famous for it’s Gorilla Treks, but there’s also Lake Mburo National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park with their rich animal and bird life (over 550 resident species), much of which you can view by boat / launch.
